English Premier League Round 12 predictions 23-24.11
Another week of Premier League football is set to take place this weekend in late November. The teams are back on after the International brake and now we are up to see who’s who in this game of magic. We’ll be quite short this time though.
Everton vs Liverpool
The Merseyside derby is to be fun to watch. It’s the first game of the day and it will be intense at Goodison Park this noon.
Both teams are in great shape and will have to deside the points between them in a moment when they both are in top 6 with only 3 points difference. Pool chase Arsenal and need points to do that so they will go hard in that game. And for the Toffies – what better moment to even themselves in the top with their city rivals.
Arsenal vs Southampton
Another game in the top of the table. Arsenal are still first with 2 points from the second placed Liverpool and now they host the great in-form Saints. Surely, Pochettino’s boys are on something very beautiful since the start of the season and after grabbing the point against Man Utd, now they will try to leave dry after the game on Emirates. For the Gunners its Wilshere’s injury that sets bad mood, but it’s Walcott’s returning that cheers up the fans. Will the Arsenal make another bad move after the loss at Manchester?
Fulham vs Swansea City
Hard game to predict, giving the fact that both teams are not so well at the moment and have some difficulties to clear. The Swans are quite shaky in performance with struggle to produce a winning streak. The Cottagers have a streak, but a losing one and if we get the symbolism of the last season when they ended a 7-games losing streak exactly against Swansea in the last game of the season, maybe we can expect something from Fulham. Or do we?
Hull City vs Crystal Palace
Only 1 win in last 5 games for Hull and No wins for Palace in quite some time. Battle of the newcomers will deside whether Hull sets in the upper part of the table or Palace to declare a resignation from the Premier League. Tough game indeed!!
Newcastle vs Norwich City
The Toon just woke up some couple of rounds ago and stunned Chelsea and Tottenham one after another for the joy of the Toon army. Now they host The Canaries, who won against West Ham last round after a hard battle at Carrow Road. Of course they will hardly forget what Manchester City did to them with that 7:0 on the Etihad, which discredited the yellow guys. Will this be another good win for Pardew and his boys or will Norwich rise for a second consecutive time, this time away from home?
Stoke City vs Sunderland
Another battle of the last. We can just give congrats for what Sunderland did to Man City last round, and to Stoke for what they managed to do to Man Utd, of course not with the success of Sunderland, but it was great. Now they face Gus Poyet who is on the prowl for some results and to show big clubs that they won’t be getting easy points on the Stadium of Light. Sadly, they won’t be at home this time and they will have to show some progress if they want to get some points against Stoke.
West Ham vs Chelsea
Two false steps for Jose and his men. He knows that they already lost some important points against WBA and Newcastle and now they must get nothing less than a victory against the Green Street Boys. The Hammers are going only downwards after they stunned Tottenham and they are already losing positions with great haste. Vital game for both teams.
Manchester City vs Tottenham
Funny it is how both teams lost with 0:1 against Sunderland and Newcastle respectively. Quite disappointing round passed 2 weeks ago for these two firms. Now they face each other for a game that will set the right path for the better team.City have some easy game with no importance against Plzen in midweek in the Champions League, with the place for the Last 16 already granted, and they will probably go hard in this round against Spurs, who too have a game in the Europa League midweek, where they too are through to the next stage. So a hard battle on the Etihad is expected this weekend for sure.
Cardiff vs Manchester United
Unless United deside that they will make another team in struggle happy, they are set to get the points from this round with ease. Of course, they are not so convincingly good in their performance, but the win against the Arsenal last round will serve as a huge moral boost for the Red Devils and Cardiff will most probably suffer from that fact.
West Bromwich Albion vs Aston Villa
Great game for WBA against Chelsea last round with only the referee standing between them and the 3 points in that game. After that 1:4 loss against Liverpool, now they show that they are going up in their performance and they will try to consolidate it with a good performance against the struggling Villa. 5 points in the last 5 games for the team from Birmingham, who, after the strong start in the league, are now trying to find their form again and to get back on the road of glory. Tough game for both teams.
